I only say “pseudo” as the SPC is a Navy owned and Coast Guard operated vessel to be used by the Coast Guard’s Maritime Force Protection Units (MFPU… say it like MIF-POO and you won’t be look upon too keenly). One of the things on my list of “can’t wait to see” was the NSC; even as a non-cutter guy it’s an impressive vessel to look at. So now that I got that checked off of my list we can move on to number two… [...] This is probably one of the best Coast Guard centric videos I’ve seen in some time on YouTube. Here we have a great overview of some of the modernization efforts that are being taken to improve our everyday dealings from prepping and giving briefs to asset and part allocation. Worth the 5+ minutes to watch. Though I’m not a Cutter guy this is still pretty cool.
