Yesterday a message (ALCOAST 344/09) was put out to the public that On Scene Magazine, the Coast Guard journal of Search and Rescue, will no longer be published… in its paper format. As the message reminds us, the publication has been around since 1960, well before most of the people serving in the Coast Guard [...] It was announced in the comments of the FORCECOM message but at the time the site wasn’t working… well it does now. The DCMS Log, or USCG Mission Support Log if you will, is up and running with availability to the public. The site is yet another “official” blog hitting the streets to aid in [...] It never fails, you work for 13+ hours in a closed environment and you walk out trying to catch up to the world. Which in my case is how many/what kind of crafts my daughters did and of course the day’s Coast Guard happenings. Today was a very eventful day around government. We’re back to profiling Coast Guard sites, blogs or not. This week I’d like to start with the Sector San Diego Reserve Readiness Blog: On Call.
