Alright, so by now everyone has heard of the whole 9/11 drill debacle. There is a lot of finger pointing going on as to who is at fault for yesterdays panic. Here is an interesting piece I stumbled across on federalnewsradio.com, talking about how the Coast Guard is working to get a handle on social media and its security issues. They talk about how the Coast Guard is looking to hire up to 3 people to work on social media. It was all over the local news here in the Hampton Roads area today- the visit of DHS’s Sec. Napolitano. However, it wasn’t just her visit that I was looking forward to, it was the demonstration of our MSRT that was to be my highlight. Not to outdone by the 9th District another official Coast Guard blog has hit the net. iFORCECOM is the official blog of, well, FORCECOM.
