Fox News just broke that a “senior U.S. official” has confirmed the U.S. is tracking a North Korean vessel named “Kang Nam”. The vessel left a North Korean port on Wednesday, and is suspected of transporting “weaponry, missile parts or nuclear materials”. Each year, the Coast Guard hosts a Coast Guard Innovation Expo. The Expo is part trade show, part Coasties showing off cool stuff, and part professional development. Coast Guard personnel can host a spot on the Expo floor to show off and talk about innovations they’ve developed or use. As he noted yesterday in his Need-To-Share Guy blog: direct mp3 (Fast forward a bit over intro [...] I’ve been watching the dialogue wrt Intelink and other collaborative technologies, along with the discussions concerning KM, open sharing, stovepipes within Government, yada, yada, yada… The use of Intelink as a set of tools for Coasties to do their jobs better and increase organizational performance seems to be taking off. In the last day, two senior officers have contacted me requesting coaching on how to use the tools within their respective organizations.
