Later this week we roll the calendar another month closer to the years end. The monthly calendar for October 2009 is now available for download. This month’s image was originally taken by PO Adam Eggers and converted into this month’s calendar. No other info needs to be noted as the photo speaks for itself. A little change-up of our normal desktop backgrounds- we’re treated to a great shot of the CGC Bear from BM1 Robert Foucha out of the Regional Dive Locker East. We then sent this on over to our “art department” (read: Sean) and had it turned into a great background. The image is all BM1’s- Sean [...] From Sean Lawler We’ve got a little of the new and a little of the old in this one. Sean Lawler comes to us again with the great work that he seems to always do. It’s looking like we got a shot of some Surfman of the past and some ops from the now. The September calendar is here, and of course it’s from our art department that’s being run out of Sean Lawlwer computer… As always it’s great shot, and it’s depicting our federal holiday this month. We’re back again with another Sean Lawler original desktop. Here you’ll notice the fairly blatant members of our MSRT doing a little training. The Photoshop work of this picture is great, and it’s staring to become obvious that Sean’s putting a lot of time into his work. This is a public call for some new Coast Guard Desktop Backgrounds that Don’t Suck. That’s right, we’re looking to enlist the help of our readers in coming up with some new backgrounds for everyone to see, download, and share. All of our backgrounds thus far have come from the hard work of one person, [...] Welcome to the eighth month of this Coast Guard year. A few things of note this month: on the first is Air Force Day, and the fourth is Coast Guard Day… kind of a slow federal holiday month. But we can always celebrate my sisters birthday or the day Jerry Garcia died (not really a [...] It’s no secret I like the aviation shots, and it was nice of Sean to hook us up with another great Coast Guard wall paper that doesn’t suck involving such. But I guess you can look at this one as mixing the two worlds of aviation and surface… or maybe not. |
