Scuttlebutt (yes a little late)…Do YOU know Ben Strong?

Do you know Social Media Fu Master Ben Strong (the focus of this comic)? He is the man with a plan working with AMVER, running their public affairs including a social media program so robust some of us can only dream of keeping up with him!

Here is just the tip of the Ben Strong driven AMVER social media powerhouse, check it out.

During the Innovation Expo, Ben ran the first Coast Guard Podcamp. It was a time for anyone involved in social media in some way shape or form to get together and go over techniques, ideas and policy (more on all that coming in the future). Ben didn’t just lead the Expo was one of the driving forces behind the event even happening to begin with.

Seriously Ben, could you at least take a nap once and a while so you can let the rest of us catch up! Keep an eye out in the future for podcasts, pencasts and a partridge in a pear tree from AMVER! Okay, well two out of three isn’t bad right?

  • To Ben: Your one of my hero's!

Here's a little "scuttlebutt"....how much longer will Thomas Jackson post libelous information until someone takes legal action?

Now, Thomas Jackson likes to delete some of his posts that are deemed to be "too aggressive" but what he may not know, people compile those posts, and maintain a list of public postings that can be considered libel.

Here's what we know; Thomas Jackson does not have the "connections" he once thought he did. How do we know this? Thomas Jackson is attacking his fellow bloggers now. He doesn't have specifics. He was late breaking the Coast Guard Academy story. He was delayed on commenting about the C-130 crash, he doesn't know the inner-workings.

The blog posts on his website continue to have typos. Those typos are numerous and embarrassing.

Have you taken a look at that blog recently? Nothing on it is of substance. Nothing. It's harmless, gossip. To "stir up" more traffic, Thomas Jackson has had to post on military.com.

Interesting? Yes. Influential? No. No one reads Thomas Jackson's blog, it's anti-Coast Guard, and it's ill-informed. Sad, but true.

This comment has nothing to do with this particular post.

This blog is about the Coast Guard, and not the blogs that write about it. Please be aware that we do not have interest here at CGBlog in taking on the issues on any other blog, that topic should be taken up with the blogger you are having issue with on their blog.

If you have issue with another blog, or another blogger, please take that to the blog in question.
