A Coast Guard “Born Ready” Commercial

So, what do you think of it? Me… I dig it.

The running in the woods, open field, etc. is meant to show that recruits could come running to the CG from all over our nation and not just the areas that are along the coastline.

this was a horrible commercial all the other services have good commercials where it accually looks like they put some money and effort into it and why was the guy running in the woods and an open field?

Years ago we couldn't get anybody to come in and we couldn't put a commercial on TV unless it was a 15 second spot at 3 am. Now we have our recruitment quota filled for the year by May, people are knocking down the door to get in and are getting no call backs from the recruiters and now we're putting commercials on TV to bring people in? Maybe they are preparing for the RIF (read "new weight standards") coming in October??

It reminds me too much of the Army. And why are we spending money on advertising right now when we've got what I've been told is a less then 10% acceptance rate right now?

Hey! One that I didn't sit and snicker at!!!
  • I think this one is far better than the previous ones
  • I do like the door step reference at the end but, maybe it's the music, most of it seems to be missing something to me.

    Finally a decent commercial!
