A Coast Guard Independence Day

CoastieFlagYou remember what today, the 4th of July, is all about right? I thought so- but for those of you who are only saying so to save face I got you back.

In the United States, Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Wikipedia make me feel smart… Be safe this weekend and enjoy the festivities- for those of you working this weekend and guarding our shores both near and far I/we thank you.
