You’re well aware that the Coast Guard uses social media outlets (i.e. Twitter) to push its news and at time converse with the public. But how many other government entities have similar accounts? Well, I don’t know either, but, if you ever want to see what the U.S. Government is doing at any given moment via Twitter head on over to “the feed.” Nextgov.com has a page dedicated to the all the Twitter feeds being pushed out by various agencies in our government to include @USCoastGuard. In their own words-
Visitors to The Feed can opt to see all federal tweets in one place or they can select to see only certain categories of tweets, including business and finance, defense and diplomacy, law enforcement, government at work, and the White House.
It’s actually not too bad to see how much the government is Tweeting… at least you know your tax dollars to go to good use.
