There have been a few rumors and thoughts (via the web, eMail, and IM chats) on what’s going on with CGBlog as of late. And though I would like to put a little squelch on such, I won’t. The fact it is it’s a lot more fun to let people try to figure things out when they haven’t a clue.

Please recall that a few weeks ago I announced that the site was getting too hard to run by myself and I would slow my posting to it. Well, I’m sure I didn’t disappoint as I have lived up to this. I also put out my feelers via that post in an effort of finding someone who would be willing to either partner in running it or taking it over completely…. Well we’ve found a very generous individual in Dan Trimble out on the West Coast who understood the need, or rather want, to keep CGBlog going, and in a classy way. He has offered to keep the site on his personal servers for the long hall and at no charge, something we can’t thank him enough for. So what’s he getting for this? NADA!! Though while reading his personal blog it’s obvious he can write- so I’ve invited him to contribute on CGBlog if he wanted.

So where do we go from here? Do I really have to answer that? I say we keep on trucking, continue posting content that is both fair and balanced (sound’s like some cable news show or something…) and have fun doing it. With my worries behind on keeping the site running, in a fashion it deserves, I’ll continue to post stories/information on the Coast Guard as I have in the past.

And as an FYI I thought I’d let you know that CGBlog is coming upon its two year anniversary (17 June) this month. How should we celebrate?
